1. Overview
Daily Sadhana Tracker ("the app") is a fully offline spiritual practice companion. This privacy policy explains how the app handles your information. This policy applies to the Android application published on Google Play by SiddheshNan.
2. Data We Do Not Collect
We do not collect, transmit, or store any of the following:
- Personal identification information (name, email, phone number, etc.)
- Location data
- Device identifiers or advertising IDs
- Usage analytics or crash reports
- Any content you enter into the app (mantras, japa counts, notes)
3. Data Stored on Your Device
All app data — including your mantra list, daily japa logs, notes, settings, and reminder times — is stored exclusively in local storage on your device using Android's standard app storage (AsyncStorage). This data never leaves your device and is not accessible to us or any third party.
When you use the backup export feature, a JSON file is saved to your device's local storage and shared only through the Android share sheet. You control where that file goes.
4. Notifications
The app can send local daily reminder notifications if you choose to enable them. These notifications are scheduled entirely on your device and are not sent from any server. No notification content or usage data is transmitted anywhere.
5. Third-Party Services
The app does not integrate any third-party analytics, advertising, crash reporting, or data collection services. There are no SDKs in the app that collect user data.
The app is built with Expo (an open-source React Native framework). Expo's runtime libraries do not collect personal data in this app's configuration.
6. Permissions
The app requests the following Android permissions:
- POST_NOTIFICATIONS — to show daily reminder notifications (Android 13+)
- SCHEDULE_EXACT_ALARM / USE_EXACT_ALARM — to deliver reminders at the exact time you set
- RECEIVE_BOOT_COMPLETED — to reschedule reminders after your device restarts
- VIBRATE — for haptic feedback during japa counting
None of these permissions are used to collect or transmit any data.
7. Children's Privacy
This app does not knowingly collect any information from anyone, including children under the age of 13. Since no data is collected at all, there is no risk of collecting children's personal information.
8. Changes to This Policy
If we ever update this privacy policy, we will update the "Last updated" date below. Continued use of the app after any changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
